Welcome to St Mary of Providence Center!

Located on a historic property with over 50 acres of rolling hills in beautiful Chester County, St Mary of Providence Center is managed by The Daughters of St. Mary of Providence as a retreat center, an independent living center for Seniors, and as a resource to support the spiritual development of the community.

Retreats & Meetings

Our historic mansion and other buildings can provide comfortable accomodations and meeting space for retreat groups of 15 to over 100 people.  Full-day and part-day meeting facilities are available for service organizations, churches and other religious groups looking for a unique and contemplative location for off-site discussions and reflection.

We have four different buildings for independent living! Each has access to walking trails, planned activities, chapels and parking.  All in a warm, loving Christian environment!

special events

The Mansion, our Cafe, our multi-purpose room and our grounds are available to host group events, wedding receptions, family celebrations, and other special occasions.  Full-service catering is available.  Limited overnight accomdations are available for large group functions.

Strawberry Festival and Mansion Tours – Saturday, June 6th, 2026

Thank you to everyone who attended our 2026 Annual Strawberry Festival!  We had our largest turn-out ever!  It was a beautiful day to walk around our property!  It was great to see all the children playing in our games area!  We had an amazing gift basket raffle with over 50 baskets, over 25 vendor booths to look over, wonderful local musicians and dancers, and of course some great food (including “Holy Cannolis”.  Thank you to all our volunteers who helped make this our most successeful Strawberry Festival ever!

Retreat for Priests, July 13-17, 2026

We are excited to have Bishop David Zubik leading our retreat this year.  Bishop Zubik served as the Twelth Bishop of Pittsburg from 2007 until his retirement in 2025.
