Three and One

Three brothers and one other! Three and One has been performing professionally since 2015 when the youngest member was in elementary school. Gus, Finn, Cosmo, and Jack cover a wide variety of music including rock, pop, jazz, and dance music. Jack (no relation) can play all of the instruments, but he chooses the drums for gigging because he enjoys the setup and tear down. Like countless keyboard players before him, Finn believes that the guitarist is his mortal enemy — which is unfortunate since he lives with his brother Gus, the guitarist, who is a lover, not a fighter. Cosmo, the youngest member of the band, plays bass to support his Nintendo Switch habit. He’s hoping they release Super Mario Rock Band, and his dreams will be complete.

Gus deSimone

Gus began playing guitar and writing songs after an impromptu battle of the bands invite singing for his wannabe rocker friends in high school. That was in 2006 and for the next 7 years he would write secular pop songs, but after his reversion to the faith in 2013, they started taking on a Christian flavor.

Gus’s songwriting found new life as he wrote about his journey in the faith, lives of the saints, and the psalms. To date Gus released 4 albums; A War Already Won, Saints Alive Vol. 1, Songs for Mary, and Psalms.

Hanna is a song-writer, worship leader, and artist from Downingtown PA.  She recently graduated from West Chester University where she helped lead music ministry for the Newman Center.  This fall she will be a middle school teacher in West Chester, and she intends to continue pursuing the ministry of sharing beauty through the arts.  Her music can be found on all platforms!

Melissa Goldhorn

Hello! My name is Melissa Goldhorn. I am 23 years old, I am working as a marketer for Mission Youth Philly and as a 1st grade Catholic School Teacher! I believe the Holy Spirit comes to us in a unique way through music. We can experience his presence in a way words cannot quite describe. I am blessed to be apart of that experience and share it with others. He is worthy of our praise!!

Mustard Seed

A group of college students with a passion to praise and worship through music, Mustard Seed is happy to be returning to Magnifest this year with two members. Carlee Bonanno, a freshman at Kutztown University, is so excited to be able to share her talents, especially to honor the Lord. Sean Springer, a sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh, found his appreciation for Christian contemporary music as a means to pray and converse with the Lord on a Kairos retreat right here at Saint Mary of Providence Center. They’d like to thank the Magnifest team for welcoming them back this year. God bless and enjoy!

The Coppa Sisters

We are the Coppa Sisters! We grew up listening to Norah Jones, The Beatles, Stevie Wonder and so many great artists, but our favorite artists are those within our Family like our dad and so many of our other relatives that sing and play instruments. Many of the songs we perform are originals and written about school days, love, family, and God.

Julia Coppa Bernetsky is a wife and mother and works as product manager for Ascension, a Catholic publishing company.  Emily Coppa Drahus recently got married and is a registered nurse working for a pregnancy resource center, Lifeline of Berks County, Inc.   Anna Coppa recently graduated from Ave Maria University and moved to Key West, Florida to be a teacher at a Catholic school.   Norah Coppa is in 11th grade, learning how to drive and works as a babysitter. Her dream is to be a singer after high school!

Sarah Carpenter

Sarah Carpenter is a Catholic singer / songwriter and a lay member of Regnum Christi. After a powerful encounter on a Mission Youth mission in 2021, she felt called by the Holy Spirit to write music that not only reflects the beauty of her encounters on mission, but also reflects her relationship with Jesus Christ.

“I so desire for the music I write to uplift the souls of God’s children and bring them to a close and personal encounter with Him. Music has been something that has carried me through the hardest times and has brought immense healing in my life, and everyone is deserving of that healing. I pray that those who hear my music experience God’s healing hand, His heart of pure love, and His gentle embrace.”
