Located on a historic property with over 50 acres of rolling hills in beautiful Chester County, St Mary of Providence Center is managed by The Daughters of St. Mary of Providence as a retreat center, an independent living center for Seniors, and as a resource to support the spiritual development of the community.

Retreats & Meetings
Our historic mansion and other buildings can provide comfortable accomodations and meeting space for retreat groups of 15 to over 100 people. Full-day and part-day meeting facilities are available for service organizations, churches and other religious groups looking for a unique and contemplative location for off-site discussions and reflection.

We have four different buildings for independent living! Each has access to walking trails, planned activities, chapels and parking. All in a warm, loving Christian environment!
special events
The Mansion, our Cafe, our multi-purpose room and our grounds are available to host group events, weddings, family celebrations, and other special occasions. Full-service catering is available. Limited overnight accomdations are available for large group functions.
Race Details
WHO: Runners of all ages. Gather your family, friends and co-workers. Walkers are also invited to participate using the same course. The course is a combination of field and asphalt.
WHERE: St. Mary of Providence Center, at the historic Potts Mansion in Elverson, PA. The course will begin behind the mansion and circle around the beautiful grounds. Making 3 loops gives you the advantage of seeing Spring bloom in Chester County from vistas only available from this property!
WHEN: Saturday, April 12th, 2025
7:30 a.m. – Registration begins
8:30 a.m.– 5K Run / Walk begins
Awards Presentation immediately following 5k
Entry Fee: $35 if registered by March 19th to receive a historic
Potts Mansion 5K T-shirt. $40 after that date including race day. T-shirts available while supplies last.

Strawberry Festival and Mansion Tours, June 7th, 2025
Our annual Strawberry Festival event returns for another year of food, fun and entertainment on Saturday, June 7th, from 12-5pm. Enjoy the music, shop with our vendors, grab and grab something to eat. We recommend one of the strawberry desserts!

This retreat will be directed by FATHER BRETT BRANNEN from the Diocese of Savannah, where he currently serves as Pastor of Saint Michael Parish on Tybee Island and Vicar for Priestly Life and Vocations. For more information and to register, please click here.
Retreat for Religious Women, August 10-16, 2025
This retreat will be directed by FATHER PETER STRAVINSKAS. Father Stravinskas founded The Catholic Answer in 1987 and The Catholic Response in 2004, as well as the Priestly Society of Blessed John Henry Cardinal Newman, a clerical association of the faithful, committed to Catholic education, liturgical renewal and the new evangelization. Father Stravinskas is also the President of the Catholic Education Foundation, an organization, which serves as a resource for heightening the Catholic identity of Catholic schools.

Save the date! Kairos is a unique retreat experience for any high school student in our local area. At Kairos, students get away from the world around them to focus on deepening their relationship with God and engaging in deep spiritual conversations about the individuals they want to become.
